Meeting with the Vicar for Clergy

St. Juan Diego parishioners had the opportunity to meet with The Vicar for Clergy, Rev. Msgr. Donald Buxman from the Archdiocese Office of Clergy Personnel on Monday, Feb 11.  This meeting was at the invitation of our Pastoral Council.  Msgr. Buxman wanted to meet with the pastoral and admin councils, staff and parishioners concerning our parish’s vision and needs that we would like considered for our new pastor. Deacon Dennis began the meeting with prayer. We will continue to pray for the next priest who will come and serve St. Juan Diego and for the St. Juan Diego community, that we continue to live out our baptismal calling as priest, prophet and king.

Damian Brayko, chairperson of the Pastoral Council, moderated the meeting and began with a statement from the Pastoral Council highlighting the hopes and dreams for our parish’s future.

Msgr. Buxman then addressed the group to let us know a little about the process and where things are in the cycle.  A recording of the meeting can be heard here.Click Here

Conversation With Fr. Ted

Over 40 people gathered on Saturday, January 19 for a conversation with Fr. Ted.  This was an open question and answer forum where folks could ask questions about faith, the church and religion.  The questions were definitely thought provoking.  Stay tuned for our next conversation....

Fr. John Kerns celebrated Mass along with Fr. Ted Frison with Deacon Dennis Desmarais assisting.

Such lovely flowers...a beautiful expression of our gratitude to Mary for her "Yes" to bear the Son of God.

10th Anniversary Potluck

The 10th Anniversary Celebration got off to a great start with a potluck at St. Pius X Community Center.  As you can see from the pictures below, there was lots of food, music and fellowship.

The St. Pius X Community Center was filled with old friends and new!

We had some singing too... with an original song "Our Special Place - St. Juan Diego"

A big Thanks to the folks that coordinated this celebration: Katy LaDu, Mary Johnson and Shirley Bertram (plus many others!)

The children's choir also put on a performance of some songs they've been practicing. They will be singing at the 3:30 Christmas Eve Mass.
